About the log screen: a nice addition (similar to what magit does) would be to be able to select a range, and diff, using either Ediff or any registered difftool (an interesting improvement, compared to what magit does would be to take account on the region orientation: allowing to swap to and from).

About the split: I’d really like to have something similar to the stage/unstage mecanism of magit, allowing to move diff thunk or selection to another adjacent rev.

It was actually the error handling not being thorough enough that made me think it didn’t work.

magit-visit has a blob-based visiting design. In jj, I want to go a bit further: I’d like to provide an option to edit the compared revision while still doing the normal visit, so that requires more work.

I just added majutsu-diff buffer (with majutsu-diff-mode), which is basically a standalone buffer similar to the Working Copy Changes section at the bottom of a majutsu-log buffer.
