[Bug] Horizontal Scrolling is Unreliable (Shift + Scroll and Native Horizontal Scroll Issues)

Horizontal scrolling in Notepads is inconsistent and unreliable.

There are two related issues:

1. Shift + mouse wheel scrolling only works in one direction

   • Scroll down → scrolls right (works)
   • Scroll up → does not scroll left

2. General horizontal scrolling is unstable

   • Sometimes horizontal scrolling does not respond at all
   • Behavior is inconsistent and not always reproducible on first attempt

This makes navigating long lines difficult and affects usability.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Notepads

2. Open or create a file with long lines (horizontal overflow)

3. Try horizontal scrolling using:

   • Shift + mouse wheel

Expected Behavior

• Horizontal scrolling should work smoothly and consistently

• Shift + scroll:

  • Scroll down → scroll right
  • Scroll up → scroll left

• No missed or ignored scroll input

Actual Behavior

• Shift + scroll only works in one direction
• Horizontal scrolling sometimes does not respond
• Scrolling behavior feels inconsistent

Environment

• OS: Windows 11
• Notepads version: v1.5.6.0
