[Enhancement]: Consider "folder drag & drop" for the linux release

Describe desired feature

Be able to drag and drop entire folders into the "search directories" option to set those paths.

What issue does it solve?

The inconvenience of having to manually navigate to the desired path which in linux mint, is a pain since we cannot even edit or see a navigation bar when the "open" dialog appears (nemo at least doesn't show the path bar, only breadcrumbs). Most importantly, it is a huge QoL improvement, its fast, its convenient.

If it doesn't work on your Linux OS its an Avalonia issue.

using Linux mint 22.1 here. X11 + cinnamon

Since I'm a linux noob, I have to say that I tried to check the "avalonia version" with help of an LLM and this is what it said:

Most likely, Avalonia is part of a specific application rather than a system-wide installation. If you're developing an Avalonia app, the version will be in your *.csproj or packages.config.

can I check the installed avalonia in my system or it doesn't "install"

Avalonia is not installed system-wide on Linux (or any OS) like traditional software packages (e.g., apt, dnf, or pacman). Instead, Avalonia is typically used as a NuGet package inside .NET applications.

Can you please elaborate on how this can be somehow "my problem" ?

Like I said its an Avalonia issue then, I guess its related to: AvaloniaUI/Avalonia#6085 nothing I can do.

Avalonia's issue seems to have been fixed now in 12.1.0 two weeks ago. I suspect the Avalonia version will be updated anytime soon for VDF.

I fixed something wrong in my life and that was using linux, a windows apps launcher that lacks software and has a community of people whining about not being paid, so I stopped the ball and thought why is that Windows had the triple FOSS than linux has, then thought about why using an open source OS to limit myself while actively trying to use all the good stuff I could use while using windows, and I found my answer: "it makes no sense to use linux". I am not a fanboy, I just don't see any point in using linux in the state it is and will be. So I went for the real thing and my problems were gone.
