My server was shut down by my provider due to a port scan attack. The logs provided refer scans to multiple IPs, all targeting port 9000, from my server IP. To what extent do the security fixes in versions 2.3.4 and 2.3.5 address vulnerabilities that existed up to version 2.3.3 (my server was running version 2.3.3)? How could this attack have been carried out on the server based on the vulnerability identified in CVE: Could a attacker gained full ssh access from this vulnerability? |
