After I enter my credentials to IDP it redirects me to my site without establishing the authentication and thus no session,

The response was received at http://subdom.mysite.com/saml2/1db531de--ssblablbal-ssblablbal-ssblablbal-b692/acs instead of https://subdom.mysite.com/saml2/1db531de--ssblablbal-ssblablbal-ssblablbal-b692/acs Redirecting to https://subdom.mysite.com/search.

like it was expecting a response from HTTPS and not HTTP
