1000's of Resources files in Upgrade/Log

I have over 70k+ .Resources files in the Upgrade/Log folder... May I delete these files? They are really adding a load of what appears to be redundant files to the system.

Yes, you may.
They are used during upgrade and the latest are used to ensure web-farm setups don't re-run the same startup routines.
