Prospective support for Mac OS

We are thinking about running 4C development on Mac OS. Does anyone have experience with compiling 4C on a current Mac OS and on Apple Silicone? Is there general interest in supporting Mac OS?

I tried it once on an M1 Mac. Compilation worked fine but I got a runtime error when running the tests. As far as I remember the problem had something to do with a dynamically linked library. However, I didn't had a closer look into that.

@mayrmt would be a nice addition if 4C could be compiled on macOS out of the box. I currently have a M3 Pro CPU available in my day-to-day workflow to test things out once they are ready
