For example, “I support same-sex marriage” can be answered “disagree” because I oppose to any kind of marriage at all; and I can also answer “agree” because if there is going to be heterosexual marriage, then it’s unfair for not having same-sex marriage. These aren’t contradicting each other even though the answers are opposite to each other. Basically, you don’t know my view at all by the answer.
Same can be said to most questions especially if it involves the government. “I don’t want the government at all but as long as they exist and monopolizes violence and resources, they should be strongly concerned with the people.” This view can be taken that I’m in favor of a big government and the government not existing at the same time. I didn’t know how to answer to most of the questions.
I think the design should be fundamentally changed. As you can’t really tell someone’s value just by asking whether they agree or disagree on a set of statements.
