Configure sort only for root of a volume?

Hello, I'm currently trying to configure file/folder sorting and I basically want to sort in the root of a volume by date-newest.

I did have that figured out already using the flag "sort: -ts", however this also applies to every subfolder as well which isn't my intend.
Is there a way to only apply the sorting to the root of a volume?
