This project has been abandoned

It's pretty obvious now this project has been abandoned. @mtibben doesn't respond to any messages or tags. And there's been no commits or real updates in this repo or even upstream dependencies. Given it's a security project this is concerning. I assume they moved on to another job that doesn't require AWS anymore.

How do we get this project back in action and ensure it's up to standards? Otherwise, what other options are out there now?

Ugh, seems so unfortunately... I have #1268 which probably is not making it in either. I'd be up for forking it 🤔

So, seems this repo is abandoned, so I've forked the repo and merged my changes here: https://github.com/ByteNess/aws-vault

Contributions are welcome and hopefully we can make tool updated and going 🚀

Well, seems we'd need to get something officially in the README or move this to the fork otherwise we cannot replace brew Formula. @mtibben or anyone still around to sort this out for this project, which seems dead?

Just in case anyone runs across this, like I did, and starts going on a quest to get @mtibben to transfer the project; the core homebrew formula has been updated. 🎉

Yeah, I've managed to get the Formula changed so we are on a maintained 🚀 fork now (https://github.com/ByteNess/aws-vault). I should have provided feedback here when we switched. Thanks @RobvH for providing that info here 🎉
