MACE's e3nn version issue

why does mace only have e3nn=0.4.4? why not offer more flexibility especially that newer versions came out?

in case someone is interested in the answer, I just tested another version of e3nn=0.6.0 and had an error loading the model from the calculator and the error comes from one of e3nn classes However, I do hope at some point it will be possible to run mace with more recent e3nn versions

Pinning this version means MACE and NequIP are incompatible, since NequIP has version bounds "e3nn>=0.6.0,<0.7.0" https://github.com/mir-group/nequip/blob/27d9d2182da918ab7be0017d8300e53278f5e00e/pyproject.toml#L22
