STOPPED IN XSREAD

Hi AER

I am running lblrtm12.17 to generate OD files. I am successfully generated the line-by-line gases, e.g. H2O CO2 et al.
But when I tried to run for the cross-section gases, eg. F11, it showing error: STOPPED IN XSREAD.

Could you give me some suggestions?

Briefly looking at the TAPE5 you provided, I think the issue is that in the cross-section section of your TAPE5 you have 6 cross-sections listed but 8 spots for concentrations; there should be the same amount of molecules listed and concentration spots. Also, make sure that if you leave the molecules listed in the order you have them now, then the first concentration will be for ISOP, second will be for PAN, etc.

According the lblrtm instruction (LBLRTM-12.17/docs/html/lblrtm_instructions.html), there are 8 spots and the 8th is for broadening gas column density:

RECORD 2.2.4
(XAMNT(I,L), I=1, 7), WBROADX(L)
(8E10.3)
XAMNT(I,L) column densities (molecules/cm2) or mixing ratios (ppv) for 7 cross-section molecules
WBROADX(L) column density for broadening gases (molecules/cm2), ** information only **
should be the same as WBROADL, on Record 2.1.2
NOTE If IFRMX=1, then XAMNT(I,L) and WBROADX(L) are in 8E15.7 format

Hi @maclion-zhao ,

My only further suggestions are to first make sure that you are correctly linking to the FSCDXS and /xs in your run directory. And then second the TAPE6 output from the run should give more information of what might be going wrong, if you gotto the very bottom of the file.
