Alif DevKit layer not working

The Alif DevKit example in https://github.com/Arm-Examples/SDS-Examples/tree/main/Alif/DevKit is not working.

• Contains USB Driver (which should be removed)
• Does not show and printf output

Hi @ReinhardKeil ,

the example works and it prints in STDIO channel if the board is connected to the Etherent network.

If the board is not connected to the Ethernet network then function sdsRecPlayInit waits for function socket_startup which waits for an IP address forever, so the application is stuck here and it does not output anything to the STDIO channel.

OK, that was my mistake. I did not connect Ethernet.

Updated socket_startup.c now prints more messages:

Initializing sockets...
ERROR: Network cable not connected.

or

Initializing sockets...
ERROR: IP address not assigned.

on success prints the assigned address:

Initializing sockets...
IP address: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
