Description
A future release will include these changes to the outputs of INSAR_ISCE_BUSRT jobs to align them with the outputs of INSAR_ISCE_MULTI_BURST jobs run for the same bursts:
-
The names of INSAR_ISCE_BURST products will change to use the same convention as
INSAR_ISCE_MULTI_BURSTproducts, documented at https://hyp3-docs.asf.alaska.edu/guides/burst_insar_product_guide/#naming-convention-insar_isce_multi_burst -
INSAR_ISCE_BURST outputs will no longer include radar coordinate GeoTIFFs:
_wrapped_phase_rdr.tif_los_rdr.tif_lon_rdr.tif_lat_rdr.tif
INSAR_ISCE_BURST jobs were made available in Nov 2023, allowing an interferogram to be created from a single Sentinel-1 reference burst and a single Sentinel-1 secondary burst. In Feb 2024 these products were updated to include several radar coordinate GeoTIFFs to support mosaicing several contiguous interferograms and redoing phase unwrapping to produce a single interferogram with a larger spatial extent.
INSAR_ISCE_MULTI_BURST jobs were made available in Mar 2025, allowing an interferogram to be created from a set of one or more contiguous reference bursts and a corresponding set of contiguous secondary bursts. This InSAR workflow spatially mosaics the Sentinel-1 bursts prior to interferometry, and is now the preferred method for creating interferograms with a spatial extent larger than a single burst.
These upcoming changes to INSAR_ISCE_BURST outputs reflect that the workflow for merging single-burst interferograms after the fact is no longer recommended or supported, and aligns the two job types so single-burst jobs can be submitted using either job type and will produce the same output.
