Upscaling >1 with Hires.fix gives poor image quality

Last night I was running through several different prompts when suddenly all of my images started coming out with hash marks and odd geometric shapes. I found that setting Upscaling to 1 under Hires fixed it, but it was odd that it had been working fine for weeks without issues. I assume there is something on my system I need to check, but nothing looks obviously wrong.

Any ideas what I should check, or what may have changed?
