Nice guide, though by my understanding I think you have the description for CFG backwards.

By my understanding, a lower value will be more "creative" whereas a higher value will adhere more to the prompt.

To put another way, quoting your source at gigazine, "the larger the CFG scale, the more likely it is that a new image can be generated according to the image input by the prompt. [...] On the other hand, the smaller the CFG scale, the more likely it is to move away from the prompt or input image."

honestly this source might be confusing then bc it's also written there "the smaller the CFG scale, the more likely it is to move away from the prompt or input image, but the better the quality", I think I'll look for another one then to see if they have better wording! lmk if you have a better link!

I don't see a contradiction there. With a smaller scale, it will be looser and more "creative" and move away from the prompt, whereas a higher scale makes adhere more to the prompt but can cause quality problems. You can step through a seed at 1 through 30 and see how this holds up.
