This isn't what you need, but as a work around I thought I'd mention if you use this front end for auto1111, you can save/load masks. (it's included as an alpha channel in the image itself) |

I would also greatly, greatly appreciate the option to save the drawn mask, or even better, to apply the mask directly so that the produced image only has inpainted parts visible. Manually producing a mask in a painting software and then using it is a huge time waste when compared to a few seconds of scribbling in the inpainting tab. Not to mention the tediousness of correcting/changing the mask later if you want to try a bigger/smaller mask or find out that the current mask isn't working well. |

there has been an option for this since March #8814 Under |

When drawing a mask in the UI, there is an option for me to load an existing mask in, but no option for me to save a copy of the current mask. It looks like, in between lines 62 and 77 of
img2img.py
, it would be fairly easy to take the mask and save it off as a file. I can see how not everyone would want this turned on by default!Perhaps what I'm looking for is
False
, that keeps those images from cluttering up the filesystems of the majority of users who won't use this featureDoes that sound reasonable? It seems like it would be within my technical abilities, but I am not very familiar with the codebase so I am wary of submitting a PR that puts the code in the wrong codepaths.
