A new general state effector will be added to the repository. Existing effectors enable simulation of either general rotation or translation. No effector has the ability to simulate both translational and rotational component motion. This new effector enables simulation of generalized 6-DOF rigid component motion, where simultaneous or sequential translational and/or rotational motion can be configured.
Note that the final version of this effector will enable simulation of full 6-DOF component motion. This issue is the first in a series, focusing on first enabling all types of 1-DOF component motion including:
- 1-DOF rotation
- 1-DOF translation
- 1-DOF helical screw motion (coupled translation and rotation)
