Background
The image takes too long to build.
Feature
The self-signed ssl may not be necessary anymore, because it is usually behind a load-balancer anyway.
Business Value
Smaller builds will save space on EMR and quicker building time will minimize the window to rebuild on errors.

Solution Ideas:
- strip the self-signed ssl feature from Docker image
