openRV 3.0.0 Build Errors on windows 11

Hi guys,

I had several attempts to build openRV 3.0.0 following the documents here, although couldn't meet a good result yet.
It would be really appreciated if someone advise me to find a solution to reach there:)

Environment :

OS - Windows11 (tried with a fresh windows11 setup on VM)
python version - 3.10 .11
qt - 5.15.2
Visual studio - 2022 community (set MSVC14.40.33807
strawberry-perl-5.40.2.1
cmake-4.1.1
executed commands on mingw64

Hi @JJJKrowNin

Are you building from the main branch? And are you targeting VFX platform 2023 (Qt 5.15) or VFX platform 2024 (Qt 6.5.3)?

For the error about jom, it means that you are missing jom executable which comes with Qt Creator or by downloading it manually.

Additionally, ensure you have jom, which is included with Qt Creator, available through the Qt online installer. If you prefer not to install Qt Creator, you can download jom separately from the official Qt repository and copy the executable and supporting files to the Tools/QtCreator/bin/jom directory within your Qt installation.

Did you installed Qt Creator with the Qt installer?

I targeted VFX platform 2023 for the last attempt(with errors above) meant that I used python 3.10 and qt 5.15.2. But I missed Qt Creator installing probably.

For the next attempt, I used python 3.11 and qt 6.5.3 based on VFX platform 2024. In this case, python 3.11 did not work when I hit the command rvsetup

So I got back to python 3.10 and the build started running, though got errors like below again.
The latest build environment was;

• Cloned the latest OpenRV code from git
• python version - 3.10 .11
• qt - 6.5.3(with Qt Creator)
• Visual studio - 2022 community (set MSVC14.40.33807
• strawberry-perl-5.40.2.1
• cmake-4.1.1
• executed commands on mingw64

It seems like an error occurred by jom was resolved, but still RV_DEPS_JPEGTURBO.vcxproj and RV_DEPS_OCIO.vcxproj having problems.
