Compile without exceptions, without run-time type information

This is more of a question than an issue, but... Is there a way to compile OpenEXR without exceptions and/or without run-time type information?

It would be useful for potential users of the library that don't support these features.

It's not currently feasible to compile without exceptions. They're used extensively for error handling.

There is a limited C API implemented in ImfCRgbaFile.cpp/h, which catches all exceptions internally and does not use any C++ classes in its API, but it is quite limited, lacking access to a lot of modern OpenEXR features, and not well exercised by unit tests, so I would only recommend using it if absolutely necessary.

Throwing exceptions outside of shared/static library could cause issues when opexexr and client app compiled with different compilers. It would be great to have full C API to avoid them.
