Captive.apple blocked?

Using the adguard dns public service I’m unable to login to McDonald’s public WiFi hotspot since apparently it pops up a window that tries loading captive.apple.com

Changed dns service and it let me login fine

AdGuard DNS does not block this captive portal so I doubt this is the reason.

How exactly have you configured DNS on your device?

Hmm strange. I just used the signed profile linked at encrypted-dns.party and assumed that was the blocked domain since the logon “pop up” (to give consent of their terms privacy etczzz) would noT load and that domain was on the header of tje pop up.

Not too fluent on apple though. As far as packet/domain interception so perhaps it was another domain blocking
