Send emails with generic "From:"

Right now, e-mails written with the form in Admidio seem to always use the e-mail address of the author. This is not ideal, especially if one does not operate one's own e-mail server.

Please add the option to send from a generic address, e.g., admidio@, board@, info@ etc.

Therefore we have the settin preferences > email delivery > sender email. Here you can provide a sender adress that will be used.

Using an unknown mail address as a sender address is not allowed by some providers. In this case you can add an email address which will be used as sender address within the mail module (e.g. noreply@www.admidio.org).
If the field remains empty the sender’s mail address will be used (default: empty).

I can actually try later, but the e-mail form does not display this but the user's email address. If this setting actually overrides that setting, it should also be displayed accordingly at least.

The sending address will be from the preferences, but we set the "reply-to" address is set to the users email. So I think we should display this address.

Doesn't that still disclose a potentially personal email which you may not necessarily want to share? Not all organizations opt to operate their own e-mail infrastructure...

I agree that both should be shown to make it absolutely clear to the user what happens. Maybe one could also choose in a drop down or with a checkbox whether a Reply-To address should be set.
