Hello. I don't want to use the installer.
I got the .dll and registered it (regsvr32 PsdThumbnailProvider.dll /s), but there is no effect.
What should I do?

Did this resolve it for you btw? As I compiled the DLL without errors, copied it to SysWOW64 system directory, registered it via the 32-bit version of regsvr32 there and added the registry entries, yet PSD thumbnails didn't display.

All the operations were successful (I ran regsvr32 without the /s to see its result, which confirmed it) and also separately tested adding the CLSID registry entries specifically to the 32-bit version of the registry via the /reg:32 arg but same result. Confirmed the reg entries were created via reg query.

Presumably I'm missing something, as for comparison the author's compiled installer version behaves as expected.

Here using the 32-bit version of regsvr32 and writing the CLSID entries to the 32-bit version of the registry via /reg:32 (though I also tested without that argument).

Edit: additional context: compiled using Visual Studio 2022 which prompted to retarget the solution, which I did. I then compiled using the Release and Win32 options (separately also tested with Any CPU).
