If I modify a text file in my editor, and then ask aider for an edit, aider uses the old text #3791

Issue

I modified the HTML for an angular component, to remove a comment that I thought was not helpful. I saved the file but did not commit the change.

Then I asked aider to make a change to that same html. aider used the old (committed) version of the html file, not the version I just modified.

aider came up with this diff initially:

And that didn't work, so it had to try again, finally coming up with this diff:

This worked, but... it took an extra cycle and maybe an extra 15-20 seconds. Am I doing it wrong? Do I need to commit every change before asking aider to do anything else?

Thanks.
