Manuall update to 0.82 did not stick. Reverted back to 0.81. Aider does not prompt update

### Issue


It reverted back to v0.81.1.
I have activated the python venv in root: `source .venv/bin/activate `,  then ran `pip install --upgrade aider-chat` and in that terminal I had 0.82, but now I have 0.81.
And aider does not prompt me to install the new version.
