Strange memory using with latest version 5

Is anyone else seeing the latest version 5 seems to have a different memory usage pattern:

I have done some simple investigations to see what could be causing it, but cannot see anything obvious. I am not seeing any log entries etc...

Where would you expect to find this information?

This is using Karapace Kaka Rest proxy in a K8S cluster.

@markretallack can you pls explain abit more about your running environment ?
Number of instances, os, schemas, topics, rest api calls, and security protocol and other configs may be.

We are running one instance for the Kafka rest proxy and one for the schema registry. They are running in EKS using Amazon Linux as the host OS, with the https://github.com/Aiven-Open/karapace/pkgs/container/karapace/435613361?tag=5.0.0 container image. The Rest proxy is handling about 2 requests a second.

The system is using SASL SCRAM-SHA-512 without TLS within the K8S cluster.

We are also using the karapace schema registry, in a separate pod. This is being used to validate the messages etc...

@markretallack no one has reported of any issues.
2 requests a second is not to worry at all.

How are the memory settings configured in the pod ? Possible to take any heap dump and analyse ?
