Is there any way to properly expand centered mango/window module?

[alexskywalker8000]

I can expand this module with:

"fixed-center": false,
"expand-center": true,

"modules-center": ["mango/window"],

"mango/window": {
        "format": "{title}",
        "icon": true,
        "expand": true,
        "icon-size": 10,
        "max-length": 150,
},

While background is stretched but icon + title is aligned to left. Is there any solution to this?

expand-center is already doing its job—the module allocation/background expands. Center the label inside that allocation with the label options:

"mango/window": {
  "format": "{title}",
  "icon": true,
  "expand": true,
  "align": 0.5,
  "justify": "center",
  "max-length": 150
}

align: 0.5 centers the label within the module; justify centers the text inside the label. These are module options documented for Waybar's window label, while expand-center only controls the container width: https://man.archlinux.org/man/extra/waybar/waybar-sway-window.5.en and https://github.com/Alexays/Waybar/blob/master/man/waybar.5.scd.in

Title and icon are still not centered. Am i missing something?

Here are both of my configs:

config.jsonc
style.css

I checked the attached config. The important detail is "fixed-center": false: together with expand-center and the module's expand, that gives the module a large allocation, but the icon/title pair is still packed at the start of its inner GTK box. align centers the label, not the combined icon-plus-label box.

For the pair itself to sit at the bar's center, use:

"fixed-center": true,
// remove "expand-center": true

"mango/window": {
  "format": "{title}",
  "icon": true,
  "expand": false,
  "max-length": 150
}

So my earlier align suggestion was insufficient once the app icon is enabled. With fixed-center: true, Waybar installs the natural-width center box as GTK's center widget: https://github.com/Alexays/Waybar/blob/master/src/bar.cpp#L638-L670
