SAT + Otthing

Hi @Alexwijn,
Would it be possible to write a short guide how to use the SAT in combination with the OTthing?
I guess the OTthing needs to be set in Master mode and what then?
Should everything be set and controlled from SAT from thereon or do SAT and Otthing communicate in both directions?

The OTthing has its own heat curve. Will this be superseded by the SAT?

I am happy to test the setup but would like to understand a bit more how it is supposed to work.

Hm, I tried to setup SAT today, went through all the steps until the automatic calibration should have started and when I clicked on it, it just quit with an "ERROR" message...but nothing more.
All the settings I had done before were gone.

Did you try the releases/thermo-nova branch?

Yes I did. I tried it a couple of times always ending with this error. In order to not fill in everything again and again I went for manual setup, hoping that I can trigger the calibration later.

Since I am certain my boiler is too powerful to modulate, is there any special setting I need?

Is SAT able to start the heating with the OT thing board? This is the most critical part.

I not so sure..there are many fields that show "problem" and the SAT is still in its calibration. I don't know what it is doing now

OK, have enabled it and will continue during the weekend when I have time.
I am not entirely sure if the SAT and Otthing fully talk to each other.
For example the Sat was waiting for flame while the OTthing showed the flame was on.

I tried it again this morning but again this was not fully successful. The SAT did not start the heating.
When I went through the setup I selected the OTthing Setpoint as the thermostate but they do not seem to synchronize.

I opened my 3 TRVs to 100% but the heating did not start running.

I assume the autotune process will turn up the temperature to start heating and figure out the time it takes until the temperature rises or drops. But this is not happening.

I will attach a log file.

The one thing I dont fully understand regarding the combination of SAT and OTthing is, which values are taken from OTthing and what it delivered (overwritten) by SAT?
Which heating curve is used?

I have set my OTthing to MASTER so that the room unit in the living room does not have control over the heater.
