Enquiry on the guide to be a contributor.

Hello,

I am currently a Junior developer. And I have used alfresco for over two years now.
I was wondering if there was a **guide** to join as a **contributor**.
I read the **CONTRIBUTING.md** file and it seems not to help much. 
A helpful guide would be much appreciated.
