Meet in the Middle” Algorithm for Subset Sum – GSSoC'25 #2113

Description

Description:
Algorithm Name
Meet in the Middle – Subset Sum Optimization

The Meet in the Middle approach is an optimization technique for solving problems like the Subset Sum Problem, particularly when n is around 30–40. It reduces time complexity from O(2ⁿ) to O(2ⁿ/²), making brute-force tractable for mid-sized inputs.

Describe the solution you'd like
I will implement the Subset Sum problem using the Meet in the Middle approach, along with a short explanation, comments, and complexity analysis. This will help contributors understand how to optimize exponential algorithms using divide-and-conquer.

Language
I would like to implement this in Python (or any preferred language you mention).

🚀 Why this is unique:
Most repositories only include the basic Subset Sum using DP or brute force.

“Meet in the Middle” is a lesser-known, high-impact technique that bridges brute force and DP.

Great for advanced learners and improving repo diversity.
