I tested Soul Fire'd for blue fire (removing the Blue Flame Burning one) and I find it way better - more behaviours and ready-to-go integrations with other mods for custom flames:

• Oh The Biomes You'll Go
• Tetra with Tetracelium
• Decorative Blocks
• Danger Close
• Torch hit!
• Alex's Mobs Interaction
• Amendments
• Infernal Expansion
• The Endergetic Expansion
• Supplementaries

Also it's kept updated, so we can expect that if Oh the Biomes We've Gone gets Nether or other updates the eventual new flames will be integrated as well.
