Beep (Browser) when Remote Website receives image file

When connected to the Remote Website, I would like my browser to beep when the Web Server successfully receives and posts an image file. When there is a problem pushing the image file, the periodic beep will stop. I assume the html in the Remote Website index.php file might be edited to add this function.
Maybe something like this, but I am guessing...

Whatever is used to create a beep would need to run from Javascript, which is what reloads the file. 007 is the old ASCII "bell" character but I have no idea if that would work.

The BEL (07) is interpreted by the terminal window, not a web browser, so outputting it in a web page doesn't work.

You can use the JavaScript interface to the html <audio> tag but you'll need to search for examples on the Internet and probably experiment.

If you get it working, let us know.

Questions:

• What are you trying to accomplish with this?
• Do you want the beeps every time a NEW image is posted, or every image, even if it didn't change?
• Would you rather have a beep or some other indication when there's an error?
