Is It Possible to Separate Daytime and Nighttime Recordings in

I’m wondering if it’s possible to make a change to the AllSky system to improve how recordings are managed. Specifically, I’m looking for a way to separate daytime and nighttime recordings. Here’s what I have in mind:

Separating Daytime and Nighttime Recordings

Currently, all recordings are stored together, which can make things a bit confusing. I’d like the system to automatically distinguish between daytime and nighttime recordings.
Daytime recordings shouldn’t appear in the nighttime section, and vice versa.
Creating Separate Tabs for Time-Lapse Videos

I propose adding two separate tabs:
One for daytime time-lapse videos (e.g., daily weather changes, cloud movements, etc.).
Another for nighttime time-lapse videos.
This change could improve organization and make it easier to access recordings based on the time of day.

Please help me understand this request.
I'm curious WHY you want daytime and nighttime images separated? What are you trying to accomplish?
Where would the "tabs" you propose adding go? In the Allsky Settings page of the WebUI? Or some other page?

If you add a "script" module to the "End of Day" flow, you can have it save a list of all daytime images and even create a timelapse. At the end of night you could create a list of all images, then subtract the images in the saved daytime list.

Some of this is in our long-term plans. I'd like to modify the generateForDay.sh script to optionally accept a file that contains a list of images to process, rather than processing all the images for a specified day. That would make it easy to create timelapse and/or keogram of just daytime or just nighttime. It would also make startrails creation slightly faster since it would only look at daytime images.
I haven't looked at what's required to separate the images into daytime and nighttime, either by having two directories or adding "day" or "night" to the image names, but I suspect it'll be a fair amount of work.

I’d like to explain my request in more detail.
I propose separating daytime and nighttime recordings because daytime recordings can also be interesting and useful – for example, for observing atmospheric phenomena or other specific events.

As for the placement of the "cards," I suggest adding them to the Allsky Settings page in the WebUI, where they would be easily accessible and user-friendly.
