Mqtt keeps disconecting due to protocol error

Hello i am new to this but cant seem to get mqtt to work i only get this message

2025-01-24 21:41:33: New connection from 192.168.1.198:37491 on port 1883. 2025-01-24 21:41:33: Client <unknown> disconnected due to protocol error.

Does anyone have any suggestions ??

How is the broker configured?

What type of connection are you using to it?

As of i am new to this all i dont really know what to answer i have one MQTT device that can connect to my broker thats on my homeassistant server.

i made some different tries and i think its now connection but disconnects directly again

Your original error seems to point to a Mosquitto certificate issue, check your MQTT config in HA, here is mine for reference but I am running Mosquitto on a different Pi and not as a HA addon. Note that I am not using any certificates to connect to the server:
