Access to local allsky web server via IPv6

Hello, dear people,
I have booked a fixed, public IPv6 for my mobile router so that I can access all devices in the remote network, including the allsky camera, observatory, energy, weather station, from anywhere on the Internet. This currently only works for a device from Victron Energy, which is responsible for the power supply. I can also access the router via IPv6; port forwarding to port 80 (is it changeable???) for the Raspi has been set up. My IT specialist also says I can access the Raspi but NOT the web server, although allsky obviously uses the lighttpd web server.
Question: the lighttpd web server should be able to handle IPv6; is there anything else that needs to be configured?

Hi,
I don't understand it. Observatories are ideally "remote" and may not have a landline connection. Public and unique IPv4 addresses (no Dual Stack Lite) are hard to get from mobile phone providers. IPv6 would be the solution. Am I the first to think so??? But I noticed that other IP devices, e.g. webcams, don't support IPv6 either.

It sounds like you are trying to access a Pi over the Internet, correct?
A few people make their Pi available on the Internet. I've never had anyone ask about IPv6 before.

You may want to search the Internet for how to enable IPv6 on the Pi.

You can change the default port of 80 in /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf, but you'll need to reset it after every Allsky upgrade.

Thank you for the answers. IPv6 is already activated on the Pi. ping6 works and an IPv6 address is displayed. But still no access over Internet. There is an built-in web server for public access, why not making it directly accessible? No need for remote web server, no unneeded traffic...

Are you referring to thr public.php page?

I recommend people NOT make their Pi accessible over the Internet unless they are experienced in networking - it's too easy to make a mistake and let hackers into your home network.
