I'm still seeing that "New Version" on my WebUI - Normal since you fixed it or should it have gone away?

Force a browser refresh by pressing SHIFT-F5.

Hi, Eric...Thought I'd let you know that I tried the SHIFT-F5 refresh several times while logged into the UI to clear the highlighted in red 'Newest Version' mentioned in my earlier post here. The SHIFT-F5 didn't do anything to make that go away.

I finally ended up poking around the files and corrected it by deleting the 'newestversion.json' located at /home/n8yel/allsky/config

Once I did that, the 'New Version' alert cleared and reverted to normal in the WebUI. Also, the correct 'newestversion.json' auto-magically appeared on the next re-start.

Ah, forgot about that file. Thanks for the reminder. Since you only had to remove the file due to a bug with "v2025.xx.xx" appearing, I don't think anything needs to be done about this. If the file doesn't exist or is old, the WebUI recreates it.

Everything seems (seems) okay at this point, Thanks for asking and, again the support. It's good to see an active development group here. This old dog can still learn a few things, and, aside from a few frustrations, but with good pointers and natural curiosity, I've gained some proficiency in Linux. Also, my experiment with a passive cooling system for my setup (internal and external coupled heatsinks) is appearing successful and promising! My system is back outdoors for the night, tonight - the clear sky forecast looks promising!

My pleasure. I didn't even know what a Pi was until I looked into allsky cameras. I knew UNIX and C, but nothing about PHP or Python, other than they both begin with "P". When I ran into problem with my camera, I looked at the code and thought, "there has to be a user-friendlier way". And the rest is history...

I think a lot of people will be interested in your cooling solution. Keep us updated, and may I suggest posting to the Facebook Allsky group as well?
