Hi Eric! Thanks for the reply! Our website is https://www.northpoleskycam.com/ I ran F5 on the network tab and I'm not seeing the analyticsTracking.js in the log. |

I figured it out. The index.php file from the allsky program running on my PI didn't update to the ionos database, so on the database that was running the public website, it wasn't "true" on the "Include google analytics" line. I just updated it, and it's showing in the DevTools network pane now. |

So, after finding what I thought was the culprit, it still wasn't implementing the script tag from the analyticsTracking.js file. I copied and pasted the code from that file directly into the index.php file, immediately after the < header>, and it's showing connection on the google analytics side now. I'm not sure what I broke, but I broke it enough for it to be operational again! |

I'm experiencing the same issue. If I manually add the code into index.php, it works. I see the following error on both my site (https://allsky.baytekin.gen.tr/) and @907Skywatcher's site. Is this normal?

@esenbaytekin, once again, thanks. That error is NOT normal. Looks like a problem on line 3 of your Would you please attach (don't copy/paste) your index.php file with the fix. You two, plus Thomas, may be the only ones using analyticsTracking.js, LOL. |

To clarify, I didn't enable or attempt to use the analytics tracking until AFTER I had run the initial installation. Should I have re-installed the website entirely in order to update the index.php on the server side? I did drop the google tag in to the analyticsTracking.js file, and then switched the tracking setting in the UI on the local config page to "True" on the "Remote website" tab. The documentation says that's where all changes should be made, correct? |

Allsky is designed so you should never need to change any of its files other than by using the WebUI. If there's a bug in an Allsky file that's a different story. I will often give users updated files to manually install and test, but that file becomes part of the next release. Looking at the code, I just discovered a different bug. Running Please make a copy of that file on your server.
Correct, you should never edit a file on the remote server itself, always use the WebUI's "Editor" page. Whenever you change that file a copy is uploaded to the server automatically. |

@esenbaytekin, I am still not sure exactly what you changed to get this to work, so don't know what to fix. Would you please attach (don't copy/paste) the file(s) you changed so I can compare to what's in Allsky? I would really like to fix this in the next release. You will probably need to make a copy of your file(s), then append a Thanks much. |

Hello @EricClaeys, Actually, I didn’t make any special changes. I added my Analytics code to the /myFiles/analyticsTracking.js file. If I add the Analytics code inside the section of index.php, it works. However, this follows an old-fashioned approach and requires modifying the file outside of your development structure. By the way, even when I set "includeGoogleAnalytics": true" in remote_configuration.json, it does not change the value inside index.php on the remote site. However, it does update the value in the configuration.json file on the remote site. I am not sure if these two files are related or what the expected value for this field in index.php should be. The index.php file on the remote site is attached. |

I updated the content of the JS file this way. However, the same issue persists. It seems to me that the problem is not with the code itself but with the part that reads and processes this JS file. If there is a user who has successfully set up Google Analytics with version 2024.12.06_02, it would be great if they could guide me. |
