Overlay Editor out of synch with displayed live page

On a Mac M2, Mac OS 15.5, Safari 18.5. I use overlay editor to place variables - especially close to left and top-left. Editor looks good. I save settings and the live display looks correct. I go back to the overlay editor and placement values (usually the x-value0 have changed - even though live image is still correct. I also had issues for a while in changing the "DATE" format - even tough editor says you can change fomat, it doesn't stick.

Can you attach a screenshot showing the out-of-sync? That might help him determine what the problem is.
Or "before" and "after" images.

Details: Liveview looks good and has accepted x=20 for left position
Overlay editor shows fields are not where last saved
Overlay editor shows values for variable placement == wrong

i.e. values input are "kept" but editor and variable positions are not correct at next edit
