Different camera settings depending on the moon brightness

I know that there are likely various settings that could probably be tweaked depending on whether or not the moon is up (or how bright it is).
Is it possible to implement a system whereby these settings can be set to different values depending on the moon?
I know I probably haven't explained that very well, so let me know if there's anything that needs to be made clearer.

Yes it's possible and would be a nice thing to do, however, we are swamped with other new features. If you can program this that would help us a lot.

Other than the startrails "Brightness" threshold, what other settings do you think could use adjusting? Have you tried manually adjusting them to see if they should increase or decrease, and if so, by how much? That work would need to be done manually before we could automate it.

Ahhh. Unfortunately, my programming skills on a Pi (and indeed my RPi skills in general) are extremely limited. I wouldn't know where to start. If somebody more knowledgeable than me could identify what settings might need to be adjusted, I can certainly run some manual tests.
