Next Level: Camera with IMX462 sensor - any experience?

Hi Thomas,
after all these years running my allsky over on astrohd.de - I'd like to bring my camera to the next level. The Sony IMX462 sensor seems to be a perfect match to switch from ASI120mm over to some high-res color imaging.
So I'd like to use the VEYE-MIPI-IMX462 sensor module which can be directly attached to the raspi using the ribbon connector.
Is there anyone around who tried (and succeeded) using this? I can't believe I am the first having this idea.

@hdiessner You are probably more likely to get an answer on the Raspberry Pi forum site they would likely know if the hardware and software support that sensor.
