Compact machines crash on rightclick with empty hand

Description

When trying to open the UI for a Compact Machine, it crashes the client or server to desktop.
Kasax007/Modpack-Development#72

This mod is integrated into my mod pack Dreamcraft and the crash could very well be related to another mod featured in there. It would be amazing if there is a fix for this so the integration of this mod into the mod pack works seamlessly since the crash occurs very often if players use the block on a server just by accident.

How to reproduce

Place any compact machine in the world.
Enter it using the personal shrinking device.
Exit the machine.
Right-click on the machine with an empty hand.

oh,im playing dreamcraft too.I didn't notice that the opener was the author

i get the crash too on my server. My own custom modpack but this mod is just default configs. also compact machines fabric makes its super cheap to get the max size, and also doesnt have the same crafting that im used too with the normal version
