SAK install broken. Various errors. Incl: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'startsWith')

Bug description

After installing and trying to use an example config and before adjusting for a sensor it shows:

Configuration error
Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'startsWith')

After installing the example dashboards, tons of config erros on the cards and I can't edit to see what HA says it is.
