Running tests without simulator

Hi,

I am on chapter 6 of the book right now but so far find the book quite helpful. 
One thing I couldn't figure out is how to disable the ios simulator when running non-UI tests. Is this possible and if so please share how to configure xcode to do this. I think this shall make the tests run faster.
