I am having trouble getting ice to form in glm 3.0.5. I was hoping to work off of the Sparkling Lake example files to troubleshoot, but it seems that there is a disconnect between the description of the scenario in the readme.md and the nml and bcs files (e.g. the glm3.nml file does not have a snow-ice module included, wq variables were included in the nml when the description suggests they are disabled, and the nldas met file is not sub-daily as indicated in the readme). When I run glm using the provided nml file and met data, I cannot reproduce the ice cover from the Hipsey et al. 2019 GMD paper (no ice forms).
