Lag / delay when playing audio files

Describe the bug

When playing anything, there's a slight delay between selecting the song and it playing.

Turning on FirstChanceLogging in the in-app Diagnostics and checking the log output, we're getting several repeated thrown and caught exceptions that happen between the user clicking and the audio starting. I suggest starting investigation here.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open the app
2. Go to "Settings", then "Diagnostics"
3. Enable logging
4. Enable "First chance exceptions"
5. Set up a music source
6. Play something
7. Check the Diagnostic log output for caught exceptions being thrown.
