We dont have any concept of a base-item that other items can inherit from unfortunately. This is the first time that I have run across a real example where it might be useful. For now I recommend that you create each item with its own recipe. If you dont want to hand-code all that repeated info then you might want to write a script that does it for you. We do this with some of the matrixed recipes for minecraft copper items. |

Hi! Just curious, I've started to make a fork for Conan Exiles. Conan has some DLC that allow you to craft reskinned items that fit the theme (ex: The highest tier foundation, Black Ice, is identical to Frontier Foundations in recipe and utility)
Additionally, outside of the DLC there are a lot of recipes like this. All the different styles of armor have the same base crafting recipes.
Is there any specific recommended way of handling this? it feels like it'd be redundant to make all the copies for each style. Should I just add the original items and leave it up to the user to infer that they're the same?
