CANopen slave example #6
Description
It took me quite a while to find everything necessary to get a CANopen slave running on the board, so in case anyone else is looking to do the same, here's what I've found:
I stumbled onto https://bitbucket.org/Mongo/canfestival-3-asc which has a slave example for the AT90CAN128 with STK500 (though not specifically using the AST-CAN485 development board with the ATA6560 transceiver) - see examples/AVR/Slave there. There are many forks, but this seems to be the most recently updated one.
Since this wasn't the easiest to get going, I took the above and made a simple Atmel Studio 7-based project just for the AST-CAN485. It's available at https://github.com/klauer/can485_canopen_slave with a few notes on the things that tripped me up, as someone fairly new to AVRs in general.
