Strategy for users single sign on across all nodes and hub

For better experience and conversion rate, what is our strategy for providing better sign in experience for users (admin/editor/reader) across all nodes and hub in network:

• Are we going to use a third party identity service or using hub as source of authentication
• In either of the case, do we consider to support sign in integration with more wider feature sets in news ecosystem, e.g. Comment platform such as Coral Talk (support single sign on via OpenID connect protocol)
• Which is recommended hub site, is it a separate WordPress installation solely for use as a hub or any other existing main site that can be used as a hub.
