Incorrect Text Cursor Location #1111

Open
@timrj

Description

@timrj

This is affecting me from creating notes effectively.

Expected

Navigating a note would show the text cursor in the correct location and show line breaks properly.

Observed

In certain scenarios, typing in a line break doesn't display correctly and shows the text cursor in the wrong location so that when you next type, it causes the whole note to shift unusually.

In the example I've attached to this bug report, I go to the beginning of a line and type the Return key. The text cursor then shifts down to the next line (leaving the text on its original line). When I start to type again, the text cursor jumps back to the original line and and the text starts typing in front of the original line selected.

(See video 1 attached)

The same issue also causes unexpected behaviour when handling lists.

(See video 2 attached).

Reproduced

  1. Open a note
  2. Go to the end of a line and type the Return key
  3. As the bug isn't always reproducible, if error doesn't occur, continue to use note until error occurs (usually within a couple of minutes)
